Tracey & Jon – Anytime Session :)

Tracey is a good friend of mine, and is also my neighbour (we have wine/doggie date nights and our tiny dogs play together) and fellow photographer (see Tracey Kiansky Photography) ! Her and her hubby Jon wanted some pics done, as it has been over 2 years since their last professional pictures were taken at their wedding! When we were finally able to get out for a shoot, the sun was already starting to set, which means amazing sky detail and colour, but also a race against time. Hence, I whipped out my speedlights and did some funky stuff once the light was getting a bit too low. And it looks pretty awesome methinks!

I wish I could say all the little glowing dots were lighting bugs, but no…they were mosquitoes :/

HOT.

Ian – Bodybuilding Photo Session

One of my grooms for this coming fall, Ian, was prepping for the Provincial Bodybuilding Competition, which was held this past Saturday. So last week, while he was in prime shape and ready to compete, we headed to the Exchange (with his lovely bride-to-be Erin there for support) for some gritty images to show off his hard work! Yup, he looked pretty darn good! And a big congrats to him for winning 2nd place in the Men’s Middleweight category! Awesome job my friend!

Model Shootout! – Part 5 of 5 – Cynthia

Ah my last post from this fun shoot! What can I say about Cynthia? I love taking her picture. I have had the pleasure of working with her before, and she is so talented and beautiful! I love that her hair is always just a bit messy and in her face, and how her ears poke out of it. I love her intense eyes and the little speckles in them, and her go-on-forever legs. Her haunting looks are thrilling to me, and I love that she came out so that I could work with her again :)

Model Shootout! – Part 4 – Lenea

Up next from Sunday’s shoot is the girl with the huge smile and the crazy awesome hat! Lenea can work the camera…..not surprising since her mom is Sabine Chorley of Sterling Images! She most likely grew up with a camera in her face! Needless to say, it was really fun taking pictures of her, since she is super easy-going and laughs a lot :) And we are still not sure where she gets those crazy long legs from…..

The last one is by Gavin as well! I am so proud of him for actually coming out and shooting with me!

Model Shootout! – Part3 – Bailey

Next up is the adorable Bailey in her HAWT red dress!! I LOVE these pictures…..the dress inspired me to take the pictures a bit differently than usual and also process them different. For Bailey, I used off-camera flash for half of her pics, either behind her (also lighting the branches selectively) or off to her left. It gave such an eerie effect, I am so happy with it! Also, I tend to process my images a little warmer, but not these. I went cool baby! It gives it an effect that reminds me of Twilight :) And Bailey has this beautiful sad look, with piercing eyes, that totally completes the feel of the images! Awesome Bailey!

Here she is rockin’ that dress…

I love this next one! Something about that tiny line of light on top, and those eyes!
