Her and her hubby Jon wanted some pics done, as it has been over 2 years since their last professional pictures were taken at their wedding! When we were finally able to get out for a shoot, the sun was already starting to set, which means amazing sky detail and colour, but also a race against time. Hence, I whipped out my speedlights and did some funky stuff once the light was getting a bit too low. And it looks pretty awesome methinks!

I wish I could say all the little glowing dots were lighting bugs, but no…they were mosquitoes :/

So last week, while he was in prime shape and ready to compete, we headed to the Exchange (with his lovely bride-to-be Erin there for support) for some gritty images to show off his hard work! Yup, he looked pretty darn good! And a big congrats to him for winning 2nd place in the Men’s Middleweight category! Awesome job my friend!

Her haunting looks are thrilling to me, and I love that she came out so that I could work with her again :)

I LOVE these pictures…..the dress inspired me to take the pictures a bit differently than usual and also process them different. For Bailey, I used off-camera flash for half of her pics, either behind her (also lighting the branches selectively) or off to her left. It gave such an eerie effect, I am so happy with it! Also, I tend to process my images a little warmer, but not these. I went cool baby! It gives it an effect that reminds me of Twilight :) And Bailey has this beautiful sad look, with piercing eyes, that totally completes the feel of the images! Awesome Bailey!
